Wiz Khalifa

Whiz Khalifa exploded onto the hip hop scene in 2006 after building up thousands of followers from his mixed tapes releases in 2005. The album “Show and Prove” caught the attention of Warner Bros. who signed him to their label in 2007. his single “Say Yeah” received national radio airplay and made the short list of Billboards Hot 100, and Billboard Rhythmic Charts. His next single “Make it Hot” hit high on the ITunes hip hop list, and mix tape “Starpower” brought thousands of downloads. Possibly his best yet, the “Flight School” mix tape was released in April of 2009, and has set the stage for a big year in 2010. This January kicked off a three month tour for Whiz. If you did not catch his show in the beginning of the year, there is still five chances left.

2/25 at 8PM at the Madison theater, Covington, Kentucky. Get tickets online now at www.madisontheateronline.com. This is one of the best places in Cincinnati to catch a live show. Acts from Robert Earl Keen to the Dark Star Orchestra have graced the stage here, and now Whiz Khalifa will rock the Madison from the stage to the balconies. This production is brought to the Madison by the infamous Mad Hatter Promotions, billing Wiz Khalifa as an old school rap influenced, techno-type hip-hop with heavy bass. This venue has amazing sound, and a beautiful classic decor. The seating includes standing room only, a cabaret area with tables and chairs and a dance floor, and the theater floor with chairs only. 2/26 at 8PM at the Abbey in Chicago, Illinois: Whiz Khalifa headlines with U-God from Wutang and Jasmine Solano. The Abbey is an Irish pub by day and a hotspot for music at night. Featuring everything from Irish bands to indie rock to Whiz Khalifa! If you live in the Chicago area, you are going to want to be there when the Wiz beats down the brick walls of this traditional Irish pub. The Abbey is an amazing place to see live shows. 2/28 at 8PM at the Annex in Madison, Wisconsin. The Annex may be the only place in Wisconsin worthy enough to host this event. Madison has been known as a place to party and the Annex headlines the shows that bring the crowds. This is a mid-sized venue, with the bar set up at the back of the room. Because of its size, it is a great way to get up close to your favorite artist.
