by J Franko on Jan.30, 2010, under K News
Wiz Khalifa is an up and coming rapper/hip hop artist that is becoming more and more popular. Rolling Stones magazines as well as other magazines have noted that he is an artist to watch, one that is going places and gathering a larger fan base by the day. Wiz Khalifa was born to a military family and traveled a bit as a child. His stage name, Wiz Khalifa, is partly derived from the word ‘wisdom’ added to ‘Khalifa’, an Arabic word meaning ’successor’.
Wiz Khalifa is presently on tour and giving concerts both in January and February 2010. Snowboard Magazine is presently offering a concert with Wiz Khalifa and RZA on the 29th of January at the following venue:
Mile High Station
2027 West Colfax Avenue
Denver, Colorado
It is quite impressive to see the high end brand names that are sponsoring this concert such as Nike Snowboarding and General. In fact, this concert is part of a range of events offered by Five Fab Friday Fiesta, an event that is being done by Snowboarding Magazine. Along with Wiz Khalifa, there is also the Living Legends/UnConscious concert being put on by a number of local companies, and the tickets are going for a little over $20.
Another event that is also slotted for this particular Friday night is the InkMonstr/SoGnar/Arnette Antics. They are pulling off a not so secret late night show, along with Del Tha Funky Homosapien. Yet another event that Snowboarding Magazine is pulling off is located at Coyote Ugly, also on the 29th of January – what is sure to be an unforgettable party. If you like good beer and babes then you are sure to want to get a ticket for this event.

His music has been becoming a lot more popular recently and he is currently on tour around the United States. Wiz Khalifa is definitely not your run of the mill African American rapper. He traveled the world as a child while his father was serving in the United States military and he changed his name to Wiz Khalifa while he was in his teens. Khalifa is an Arabic name that means ‘successor’; Wiz is simply short for wisdom.
Wiz Khalifa already has a number of hit singles as well as hit albums, and most recently has even outsold other more famous rappers such as Jay-Z and 50 cent.
If you are a Wiz Khalifa fan and are interested in the Wiz Khalifa concert that Snowboarding Magazine is hosting as part of Five Fab Friday Fiesta, then you will find the venue below:
2027 West Colfax Avenue
