Brett Michaels Still Hospitalized

Published on April 26th, 2010

Brett Michaels is still in the hospital after being rushed to the hospital last Thursday.  He had been complaining about extremely painful headache, and after arriving at the hospital, doctors discovered he was suffering from a brain hemorrhage.  They are still trying to determine the source of the hemorrhage, and are keeping him in ICU for further testing and evaluation.  The 47-year-old former member of Poison is a diabetic and had an emergency appendectomy several weeks ago.

Brett Michaels has been competing on the Celebrity Apprentice reality TV show and has also been touring around the country as a solo artist.  His tour manager, Janna Elias, has been posting updates on the Internet.  She stated that everyone was very hopeful that his blurred speech, vision and dizziness would dissipate once the bleeding has been stopped.  She also wanted to thank all the fans and friends for their well wishes and prayers.

There have been reports last week that Bret Michaels was in stable condition, but these were incorrect as he remains in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital.  She did state that as the tests were performed and additional information was available, updates would be made.
