The Coachella Music Festival has wrapped up but not without extremely bizarre performance by the reclusive Sly Stone and his band.  It was supposed to go on stage at seven o’clock at a particular venue.  But then the show was delayed until 9:30 PM as the equipment was moved to a bigger area.  He showed up on stage wearing of jacket that looked a bit like a police uniform and even had the hat and badge to go with it.  He did bring his large horn section which included several of the members from the original 1960s Family Stone band. This music group certainly influenced many of today’s artists, including Wiz Khalifa.

 Sly Stone , had his face pretty much covered and when he first came on stage you could barely understand word he was saying.  He started off the set by playing some recorded pieces of some new material he has been writing.  Finally, the members of band guided him towards playing some of the all-time hits.  Unfortunately, he did not seem to be able to complete any of the songs that he started.

 During the song, “Hot Fun in the Summertime”, he ended the song and asked the band exactly how long they have been on stage.  He sat in a chair and tried to play the different keyboard instruments, but continually complained about faulty equipment.  He only lasted 40 minutes and left the stage, only to be escorted quickly away.  The band was able to fill out the hour for the few fans that decide to hang out with some to him.  He probably should have just stayed at home.
