Maybe Larry King is looking to break Elizabeth Taylor’s record before she remarries.  He has announced that he and his wife, Shawn Southwick are getting a divorce.  This will be the eighth time that the CNN broadcaster has been married and subsequently divorced.  They were married in 1997 and have two young sons.  Larry King is 76 years old and his wife is 50 years old.  Even though he has been married eight times, just like Elizabeth Taylor, he married the same person twice.

 Larry King is asking that he has joint custody of their children, and his wife is looking to have primary custody, as well as spousal and child support and different real estate properties.  He is stated that the divorce is due to irreconcilable differences.

12 year seems to be a record for Larry King, as she is the first of his wives to last for more than 10 years.  Another superstar that is also looking at “dvorce” is Mel Gibson.  Even though he is not currently married to the mother of his child, this is the woman that he left his wife of 30 years for last year.  It is said that Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva, the Russians singer, who have been together for over a year, will try to remain friends and will raise their daughter together.  Just one more big day in the life of Hollywood.  No wonder why divorce lawyers flock to the city, because the stars are lining up.
