Didi Benami was cut from American Idol but she may not have to live out of her car ever again. It was tense and the audience was cheering her on but in the end, she was cut from the competition. She did get cut from the American Idol show, but made it into the top 10. The perks that go with that are beginning to open up a world of opportunities for this songwriter/artist. Making the top 10 enables Didi to go on tour this summer with the American Idol Tour and she is very excited for this. The tour will start its 50 state journey July 5th and contains all the top 10 finalists.
In the coming week she will be visiting with David Letterman and get to meet and sing for the Letterman crew, and attendees. She is charming and her own person we hope that at this point she will not want to cry on the Letterman Show. Her emotional outbursts of tears seemed to be her signature but many times, they were tears of joy. The scrutiny of the judges was on occasion harsh, but in the end that is their job to pull the best out of the contestants.
Benami moved to LA when she was 19 to pursue the dream of many artists and found the destiny of many of them. LA Restaurants are full of waiters and waitresses that are struggling artists. She feels very fortunate to have cracked the code to have this opportunity for her to do what she really wants to do, work on training herself to write more songs and sing. The boot camp of the Idol competition may have prepared her for the life that may wait. American Idol has been her catalyst and she is grateful and excited for the coming summer months joining her cam padres and seeing what may unfold in her future.
