“Hot Tub Time Machine”, the R-rated movie opens up today and has strong sexual content, nudity, drug use, and all of the other things that makes it a funny movie. This movie is about four guys that are transported back to the 1980s through the time traveling hot tub. People think it is just another dumb version of movies like “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” or other similar movies, but it is much, much more. The movie is about four guys that include actors, John Cusack, Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and Clark Duke, that have had a hard night of drinking in a hot tub and find themselves sent back to the past.  

The four guys find themselves in 1986, and they spend their time trying to get a second chance to create better lives for themselves. “Hot Tub Time Machine is like many other movies that have people traveling to the past. So, they cannot change anything or it could affect the entire world. It is funny and filled with all of the adventures of the partying foursome.  Even if some of the parts are stupid, it still has all the raunchy humor that we love to watch. 

The writing is pretty good and plot is not so bad either. It even has the expected love interest that puts a kink into the plans. Everyone wishes they could go back into time and change that one night of their lives that they wished could have been different. “Hot Tub Time Machine” may not be an Academy award winner, but it will give you 99 minutes of entertainment. So if you are not doing anything this weekend, like checking out the Wiz Khalifa show in Washington DC on Sunday at the 9:30 Club, then you should go check out the movie.
